FAQ15 - Show Quality Puppy

FAQ15. Are there any differences in this information if we want a show dog?

A. Yes, please contact us and we will gladly discuss the information. You will still be required to fill out our wait list application and visit us as first steps in the process.

FAQ14 - Visiting Puppies

FAQ14. Can I come visit the puppies?

A. We do not allow visitors to see the puppies until they are 3-4 weeks old. After that time you are welcome to come see the puppies. When you visit you will meet the Airedale Mother, you may have met her already, and be able to see how/where the puppies are being raised for yourself. We do require that you schedule an appointment in order to avoid conflicts with our work schedule, dog shows, etc. We try to only schedule one visit during any day. The best time for us is usually about 1pm. Weekdays and weekends are usually fine.

FAQ13 - Raising Puppies

FAQ13. How do you raise your puppies?

A. All puppies/litters from Woodcrest are raised in our home where they get near constant attention from both us and their Airedale Mother. Every litter is different and we adjust our methods to the needs of the litter and individual puppies. We keep the puppies and their living areas as clean as possible; their Mother helps with this too. After the puppies have opened their eyes and are walking well we start introducing different elements/obstactles into their daily life in order to promote a well adjusted puppy able to deal with many new situations. After the puppies have started on their 'puppy mush' meals we start introducing the outside as the appropriate place to do their business. Puppies typically wake with the sun and are put out at that time, after they eat, after they nap, after they play, and before bed. We put a great deal of effort into creating a connection for you with the puppies from the day they are born. We provide weekly weight and picture updates via our website, as well as videos, and any other information you may want to know.

Service Testimonials

"Many of our patients use Jay because he is very attentive to their dogs and calls us for a veterinary opinion immediately if he senses any problem with an animal. We board our dogs with Jay also because of this vigilant care, Jay's stringent standards, his nice, clean beautiful facility, and the way he treats dogs." -Tom Heitzman, D.V.M.

Puppy Testimonials

"First, thank you so much for your commitment and dedication for producing and nurturing beings that are exquisite in so many ways. Secondly, our heartfelt appreciation for the professional and uncompromising practices you employ to deliver these joyful bundles to their new homes. We had a perfect trip home with my sweetheart snuggling and sleeping all the way… This morning I heard him bark for the first time. We have mirrored closet doors and he was having a great time with the puppy in the mirror, barking at it and pawing at it! …I love him so much." -Carol W.
